Description of Product

Alginate dressings are absorbent, nonadherent, biodegradable, nonwoven fibers derived from brown seaweed. They are composed of calcium salts and alginic acid. Calcium ions in alginate dressings undergo an exchange for the sodium ions, forming a soluble sodium alginate gel when in contact with sodium-rich solutions such as wound drainage. The gel maintains a moist wound bed and supports a therapeutic healing environment.

Main component:
Calcium Alginate
