Description of Product
ChitoUlcer is a multi-layer wound dressing including following layers;
- An antibacterial wound contact layer,
- A padding absorption layer,
- A nonwoven hypoallergenic adhesive.
The wound contact layer is based on N-acetyl – D- Glucosamine which moisturizes the wound, promotes the growth of granulation tissue and finally remodeling occurs to finish the whole procedure of skin repair. Furthermore, it is permeable to wound exudate which can be absorbed by the non-adherent superabsorbent dressing. As all-in-one dressing and unlike many other products requires no secondary dressings. Due to its non-adherence to the wound surface, softness and pliableness, ChitoUlcer dressing avoids damaging during the dressing change.

Intended use
- I & II-degree diabetic foot ulcers
- I & II-degree bed sores
- I & II-degree burns
- Surgical wounds
- Skin graft donor sites
- Traumatic wounds, abrasion, cuts and scratches
- Wounds in EB patients (Epidermolysis bullosa- Butterfly Children)
Instructions
- Disinfect the wound surface with SilvoSept or other appropriate antiseptics. Do not dry it.
- Select an appropriate dressing size for the wound. The wound pad should overlap the wound margins by 1 cm.
- Remove the dressing from the pouch using an aseptic technique.
- Remove the protective paper from the wound contact side of the dressing and apply the dressing. Do not stretch.
- Ensure that the foam layer comes into direct contact with the complete wound surface. Gently press the borders to the surrounding skin.
- The dressing change frequency is up to 72 hours based on exudate levels and the overall condition of the wound and surrounding skin.
